Decorating • The bedroom
The best part about moving in together in a new apartment with your boyfriend, apart from the fact that you're living together of course, is the part where you get to decorate. I've been living with Jérémy for some weeks now but I've actually been busy collecting interior items for months. Fueled by Pinterest and its countless Scandinavian interior pictures, I started "cheating on fashion with furniture" like Carrie Bradshaw before me. And then finally all those pieces we bought online came together in real life and they did so in the most perfect way. For this first "Cocooning" post, let me walk you through the bedroom, or as I like to call it, our cozy little jungle.
All the things that characterize our interior and that I love so much are gathered in this room: tropical plants, marble and pastel colors. I'm really happy with this wallpaper we found at Priem in Ghent, a wallpaper shop held by three siblings that's been around for ages. We found the side tables on Vente-Exclusive.com, meaning we got them for a friendly price. As for the multiple white Ikea chests of drawers, I got that idea from Pinterest.
To add a warm feeling to the rooms, we systematically added a touch of fluffiness. Here it translated into a sheep skin on the ground and feathers hanging from the ceiling.
By the way, if you have some wallpaper left, don' throw it away immediately. You can do all sorts of things with it, like covering an old inside window in your toilets for example!
